Louis Aimè Augustin Le Prince (28 August 1841 - vanished 16 September 1890) was a French inventor and a pioneer on early motion pictures. He is credited to direct the world's first films, specifically Man Walking Around a Corner, the world's first film.

He planned to publicly demonstrate in the United States, but he mysteriously disappeared aboard a train in 16 September 1890.
